Announces New Mobile Robot Product Line
Lapeer, MI - Aug. 1, 2005 - Cypress Computer Systems, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of access control and security related products, announced today the establishment of a relationship with MobileRobots for value added resale and development. By applying its extensive line of wireless solutions, Cypress’ Suprex®Technology enables seamless integration of mobile agents into any existing security, building management, or access control environment.
“There have been many attempts to introduce robotic platforms to the security marketplace in the past but I believe the embedded systems, power technology, and navigation concepts have finally converged to make a practical, cost effective solution possible. Our unique position in the industry allows us to quickly enhance and integrate this pioneering product line into existing Access Control and Security systems as well as working with manufacturers for inclusion into their future designs.” stated Cypress Founder and President, Anthony J. Diodato.
Cypress will launch its first mobile robotic product - the Remote Surveillance and Verification Platform (RSVP) at ISC East (August 24-26) in NYC at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, booth 2069 (see www.isceast.com for more information).
The Cypress RSVP is the first autonomous mobile platform to combine robotic localization and navigation, building automation, video, security, and access control interfaces into an efficient and affordable single solution.
"MobileRobots is committed to helping the security industry protect against the increasing risks of today's world. Our industry is being asked to do more and more with nearly the same resources. Improving protection with automated, integrated devices like PatrolBot -- whether you have an existing or new facility -- is the most cost effective way to build an enterprise-class security installation." said Jeanne Dietsch - CEO of MobileRobots
The Cypress RSVP-720 is designed for fully autonomous, 24 x 7 operation. Automatic docking for battery recharge, 802.11 wireless video, laser mapping and navigation, 2-way audio, and Suprex®Technology for systems integration are just a few of the many features. Typical applications include: Guard Tours, Hazardous area protection, Visitor lobby and escort, random ID checking, alarm verification, and many others.
